Honest elementary students return a man’s lost iPhone!

They say that ‘the opportunity makes the thief’. There are times when some people don’t usually steal, but when an opportunity comes—they do. When you see a wallet or a very expensive item lying around with nobody else to witness your evil deed, would you take it?

Facebook user Ericson Fernandez realized too late that he had lost his iPhone. At first, he didn’t panic when he noticed it was no longer in his pocket. He thought that he might have left it in his dorm and didn’t make a big deal out of it.

But when he tried calling his number, a stranger answered his call. The person on the other end said she found his phone. When he said that he was in fact in the owner and asked if he could get it back. The woman told him to go to Paninsingin Elementary School.

A boy then approached him and asked him: ‘Kuya kayo po ba yung nawawalan ng cellphone?’(Are you the one who lost his cellphone?). When he said that he was in fact the owner, the young boy led him to a classroom where the teacher asked if he could enter his password to open the said phone.

The owner was amazed with how things worked out. He then gave the students a free meal at Jollibee as a reward for returning his phone.
