As an OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) the hardest part is always leaving your family back home. We always strive hard to give only the best for our families. Last Week’s MMK (Maalaala Mo Kaya) episode was one of the truly inspiring OFW stories that really touched my heart.
I am also an OFW in the luxurious city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Watching this episode brings back the times where I also endured such hardships and I cannot contain my emotions recalling it.
Her determination was really exceptional that she never settled for anything less. This, was only a preview of what truly OFWs really experience worldwide. Ms. Federico’s story motivated and inspired a lot of us to pursue our dreams and stay focused no matter the circumstances in between.
Her story became trending in social media that has gained a lot of appreciation.

Amidst all these, I realized that every Filipino can be like Ms. Federico. It may not be exactly the same as her story but we can also strive to become the better versions of ourselves.
